Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify federal and state tax filings for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, fiduciaries, and tax-exempt entities
- Analyze general ledger data and financial reports to support tax forecasting
- Conduct in-depth tax research and develop planning strategies to resolve client-specific issues
- Manage communication related to tax notices, audits, and multi-jurisdictional compliance matters
- Support the development of financial statements, including net worth summaries, cash flow analyses, budget documents, investment evaluations, and meeting materials
- Contribute to tour-related financial planning, including tax clearances, budgeting, and compliance for touring performers
- Handle diverse business management duties such as real estate transactions, royalty distribution, RMD scheduling, and international employment paperwork
- Provide on-the-job guidance and training to junior accountants
- Complete additional assignments as directed by management
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of experience preparing or reviewing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts, preferably serving entertainment clients and high-net-worth individuals
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to quickly adapt to and master new software systems and workflows
- Effective interpersonal and soft skills, including communication, time management, emotional intelligence, active listening, critical thinking, and adaptability
- Comprehensive knowledge of the full bookkeeping cycle from initiation to completion
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree combined with at least four years of relevant experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with CCH Axcess or Engagement software is advantageous
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or eligibility to obtain one is beneficial
