About the Role

This position involves managing tax compliance and planning for affluent individuals and their entities, delivering customized solutions while overseeing client relationships and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and multi-generational families
  • Prepare and review complex individual, trust, and entity tax returns
  • Advise clients on income, gift, and estate tax implications
  • Coordinate with legal and financial advisors to support integrated wealth planning
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff on technical tax matters
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend planning initiatives
  • Manage client portfolios with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
  • Stay current on federal and state tax law changes affecting private clients
  • Facilitate year-end tax projections and estimated tax planning
  • Oversee the preparation of K-1s and related partnership reporting
  • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and filing deadlines
  • Collaborate with internal teams on cross-service offerings
  • Develop client-ready summaries of complex tax analyses
  • Respond to client inquiries with clear, practical guidance
  • Participate in client meetings and present tax planning recommendations
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication
  • Support business development through referrals and networking
  • Conduct quality reviews of team workpapers and deliverables
  • Assist in process improvements for tax workflow efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to firm standards and ethical guidelines
