Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a temporary Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on z/OS systems programming, involving a variety of technical tasks and providing after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation.
What You'll Do
- Perform various z/OS systems programming tasks.
- Perform installation, maintenance, configuration, and support of a wide range of IBM, Broadcom, BMC, and other ISV products.
- Perform mainframe hardware configuration and network configuration/management.
- Perform z/OSMF customization and usage.
- Perform analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Update and create system documentation as necessary.
- Be included in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years performing general z/OS systems programming.
- 5+ years performing installation, maintenance, configuration, and support of a wide range of IBM, Broadcom, BMC, and other ISV products.
- 3+ years mainframe hardware configuration and network configuration/management.
- 3+ years z/OSMF customization and usage.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Coupling Facility, SYSPLEX, and Structures.
- Experience with performance monitoring and tuning.
- Experience with storage (DASD and virtual tape) management.
- Experience with Assembler and REXX programming.
