Parsons Transportation Group is looking for a Senior Supervising Engineer to lead civil engineering efforts for high-speed rail projects in California, primarily on the CP1 phase of the California High Speed Rail Project. You will play a pivotal role in our Critical Infrastructure team, guiding complex projects that enhance mobility and sustainability.
What You'll Do
- Act as the primary interface with Parsons’ Project Manager and discipline leads.
- Supervise all engineering and design activities on conventional and design/build projects.
- Provide Engineering Support During Construction.
- Respond to Requests for Information and Construction Submittals related to Roadway, Guideway, and Drainage design packages.
- Serve as lead engineer for design drawing modifications related to Field Change Notices.
- Review and quality check as-built drawing packages.
- Delegate and assign tasks effectively across the team.
What We're Looking For
- 15 years or more of experience in civil engineering design.
- Experience supporting major rail and transit projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage and mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner.
Nice to Have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Prior experience with the California High Speed Rail project.
- Knowledge of various state standards and specifications.
- Client contacts and relationships with local authorities having jurisdiction, resource agencies, and other local, regional, and state agencies.
- Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
- Past project experience on our specific project.

You will be part of the Critical Infrastructure team and will report directly to Parsons’ Project Manager and discipline leads.
