Responsibilities
- Direct all daily field operations to maintain site safety, construction progress, quality control, and cleanliness.
- Gain a thorough understanding of project strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
- Collaborate with Senior Project Managers to keep an accurate and updated project schedule that reflects status changes and meets cost and time requirements.
- Maintain effective and open communication with the project team about changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviations in project direction.
- Consistently foster positive relationships by dealing fairly and expertly with all subcontractors and vendors, instilling this philosophy in the project team.
- Develop and sustain relationships to reinforce a commitment to world-class customer service for coworkers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the design community.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Senior Project Superintendent.
- Experience with California public higher education university projects valued at $10 million or more, successfully completed.
- Project experience includes ground-up construction or major renovations on active campuses, such as classrooms, labs, performing arts spaces, dining areas, interiors, sports facilities, and student housing.
- Must reside in the greater Los Angeles or Orange County area and be flexible with required business travel.
