Responsibilities
- Conduct conceptual and detailed electrical and physical design for high- and medium-voltage substations, including layouts, one-line and three-line diagrams, grounding systems, and AC/DC schematics.
- Carry out engineering calculations and technical studies to support substation design and performance.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews on substation physical design deliverables.
- Serve as technical lead on projects with minimal supervision.
- Prepare and evaluate bills of materials for substation construction and equipment needs.
- Develop and assess scopes of work and proposals for smaller-scale substation projects.
- Organize and lead client discussions related to physical design components as necessary.
- Support junior engineers through mentorship, technical oversight, and identifying training requirements.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication when working with internal teams and external clients.
- Build leadership capabilities to prepare for expanded responsibilities within the team.
