Senior Substation Design Engineer Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Senior Substation Design Engineer to join our Alberta team. Spark Power provides a wide range of services to clients, including power system field services, engineering services, maintenance planning, project management, automation services, mechanical engineering support services, training services, and thermographic scanning. What will do you as the Senior Substation Design Engineer? - Leading a project team of engineers, designers and drafters in the design of electrical substations up to 500Kv. - Participate in the preparation of project scope, proposals and cost estimates. - Write electrical equipment specifications, data sheets, material requisitions and Bill of Materials. Here’s what we’re looking for: - Electrical Engineering Degree - P.Eng designation with an accredited engineering professional association - Member of APEGA is preferred - Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (a copy of a valid work permit may be required) - Willingness to work overtime - Pre-employment drug and alcohol test - Clearance on a security background check (criminal record check) - Clean driving record - A good understanding and knowledge of substation design standards and best industry practices to ensure high quality design Who is Spark Power?
