Responsibilities
- Lead in-depth performance investigations to uncover and resolve systemic bottlenecks in a large-scale, JVM-powered microservices ecosystem.
- Improve infrastructure utilization and reduce latency by optimizing JVM configurations, garbage collection strategies like ZGC and G1, and memory allocation practices.
- Create and deploy advanced diagnostic tools using eBPF, JFR, and Flamegraphs to monitor and analyze runtime and kernel-level system behavior.
- Align JVM performance with Linux kernel operations by tuning thread scheduling algorithms such as CFS/EEVDF and managing resource constraints via cgroups and throttling in Kubernetes.
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions that proactively address long-term performance demands and system growth.
- Mentor engineering teams on JVM internals and performance best practices, promoting a culture centered on quality, precision, and technical depth.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues including concurrency bugs, lock contention, and memory leaks to eliminate critical technical debt.
- Collaborate strategically with infrastructure teams to ensure workload orchestration aligns with performance objectives and system efficiency.
