Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of the observability platform to track system health across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Create and expand workloads and benchmarks for compute, storage, networking, and machine learning systems, incorporating stress, chaos, and regression testing.
- Investigate and enhance end-to-end system performance across hardware, firmware, kernel, runtimes, and distributed services using tools like perf, eBPF, flamegraphs, and tracing frameworks.
- Develop automated observability solutions using Go, Python, or Java, with container orchestration via Kubernetes and Docker, to support CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with application teams to meet their monitoring, telemetry, and observability needs.
- Guide architectural and tooling decisions that strengthen infrastructure scalability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Lead project execution by writing technical designs, defining milestones, mentoring engineers, and reporting progress to leadership.
