Responsibilities
- Design and implement software for precise vehicle positioning
- Develop algorithms that process sensor data for location estimation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate localization into broader systems
- Optimize code for real-time performance and reliability
- Work with lidar, radar, and camera data to improve positional accuracy
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions for scalable systems
- Ensure software meets safety and quality standards
- Evaluate new technologies and methodologies for localization
- Support testing and validation across different scenarios
- Improve system resilience in GPS-denied or challenging environments
- Maintain clean, documented, and testable code
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Drive improvements in system accuracy and computational efficiency
- Assist in defining metrics for localization performance
Nice to Have
- PhD in a relevant technical field
- Prior work on autonomous vehicle localization systems
- Hands-on experience with lidar-based mapping and localization
- Knowledge of SLAM algorithms and implementations
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
