Responsibilities
- Create and manage scalable, resilient trading systems that operate continuously with minimal latency across global crypto markets.
- Establish and sustain connections to centralized exchanges, decentralized finance platforms, and trading partners using modern protocols such as FIX 5.0+, WebSocket, HTTP/2, and REST, while managing integration challenges and on-chain data flows.
- Develop and support core components throughout the trading lifecycle, including strategy engines, execution logic, automated trading bots, order handling, position tracking, data platforms, and risk analysis tools.
- Design and refine high-speed order execution systems targeting sub-millisecond response times and build real-time data pipelines that consolidate market data from multiple sources.
- Integrate pre-trade risk checks, circuit breakers, rate limiting, position and profit/loss calculations, automated alerts, and fault-tolerant system architecture.
- Ensure system stability through comprehensive monitoring, alerting mechanisms, and automated recovery processes in a continuously operating trading environment.
- Develop accurate data models, reconciliation processes, and data integrity controls with full traceability, consistency, and documentation for use by trading, finance, and operations teams.
- Optimize system performance by identifying and resolving latency bottlenecks using techniques like garbage-free programming and lock-free concurrency models.
- Work closely with liquidity, product, desk engineering, risk, finance, and operations teams to deliver production-ready trading solutions.
- Lead code reviews, guide junior developers, and enforce best practices in scalability, resilience, maintainability, and security across all engineering efforts.
