Zscaler is looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our Customer/Cloud Reliability SW Engineering team. In this role, you will drive the technical evolution of our cloud reliability platforms, designing distributed software that enables autonomous detection and remediation of issues at enterprise scale.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop end-to-end distributed software and platforms for automatic detection, diagnosis, and safe remediation of issues in a large-scale cloud.
- Drive the team technically towards problem solving and build platforms that improve security, reliability, observability, and diagnosability at enterprise scale.
- Design and build production-grade AI Agents leveraging LLMs and agentic frameworks to accelerate incident triage, guided diagnostics, and runbook execution.
- Develop cloud reliability, observability, and supportability services for a large-scale cloud spanning Linux/BSD, bare metal, and Kubernetes.
- Perform deep troubleshooting across OS, networking, and distributed systems including performance analysis and packet captures.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development or a related engineering field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++ and experience with Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with network security products and technical knowledge of technologies like Proxy, Firewall, VPN, and Data protection.
- Proven experience developing automation for troubleshooting and monitoring purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and vision for cloud and customer reliability tools.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant Engineering field.
- Experience in full stack application development and utilizing Agentic AI frameworks like AutoGen, CrewAI, Langchain, or Langraph.
- A track record of delivering products as cloud-based security services.
