Principal, Staff or tech lead level of experience as a Software Engineer, in fullstack, frontend or backend capacity, including both successes and failures ('scars')
Deep understanding of modern web application development, tools and techniques
Extensive practical experience in either frontend or backend development
If focused on frontend: experience with modern frameworks to build user interfaces that consume APIs
If focused on backend: experience designing and building RESTful APIs and integrating with data storage layers
Understanding of core web concepts like HTTP, security principles, and how frontend and backend systems interact in a full-stack architecture
Experience delivering architectural change in one or more large complex systems
