About the Role
Lead the development and deployment of production-grade machine learning systems, focusing on computer vision and vision-language models for fraud detection and luxury item verification, while establishing foundational infrastructure across the ML lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations and data science teams to advance machine learning and retrieval-augmented generation prototypes into reliable, scalable production systems.
- Deploy and optimize high-compute computer vision and vision-language models to strengthen trust, safety, and authentication processes.
- Establish end-to-end ML infrastructure, including data and feature management, model tracking, registry, serving, and monitoring systems.
- Automate retraining pipelines to support variable deployment frequencies across use cases such as fraud detection and recommendation systems.
- Develop robust multi-model architectures and assess cost and complexity trade-offs between internal tools and enterprise platforms.
- Serve as a founding member in shaping the ML engineering practice, defining technical standards and scalability frameworks.
- Evolve into a central role providing cross-functional ML infrastructure support and mentorship across domains like search, discovery, pricing, marketing, and data platforms.
