Medtronic is hiring a Senior Software Test Engineer to join our Patient Care Systems (PCS) organization, which powers the digital ecosystem for connected cardiac care. In this role, you will lead software verification throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring quality and compliance while working in a collaborative, Agile environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and implementation of test plans and procedures for software verification throughout product development, integration, and production phases.
- Collaborate in designing comprehensive test strategies and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Drive test execution, document and analyze results, and coordinate defect resolution with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Read, analyze, and understand product requirements, and support requirements reviews.
- Collaborate with other team members and product owners to ensure products are designed for testability, optimizing for cost-effectiveness.
- Design and execute tests using automated test tools, as well as manual test development processes, for the verification of software requirements.
- Work in an evolving, maturing Agile environment as part of a scrum team. Consult with scrum masters, product owners, and developers.
- Assist the scrum team with debugging and solving issues discovered during testing.
- Effectively work with individuals from various engineering disciplines in a variety of locations, supporting test infrastructure set up and test tool development.
- Establish and maintain traceability from software requirements to verification test design and implementation.
- Participate in the technical reviews of software requirements and peer verification test development.
- Take the high-level requirements and independently complete test development per the defined processes.
What We're Looking For
- A Level 8 degree with 4+ years of experience or a Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Experience with Angular, C#, .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Typescript, HTML, Browser Dev Tools, CSS/SCSS.
- Experience with Web API, WCF, Microservices.
- Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes Compute Platform.
- Experience with SQL SERVER, NoSQL Database.
- Experience with REST APIs; Swagger is a bonus.
- Experience with NUnit, Mock frameworks for unit and component testing.
- Experience with AWS, Azure.
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes.
- Experience with Git, Github.
- Knowledge of Pipelines CI/CD Concepts.
- Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug, and test practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency working in a team environment.
- Experience using SpecFlow/Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium.
- A quality focus, willingness to learn, versatility, and adaptability.

- Experience with AzDo, AzDo Pipelines, YAML.
- Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger and OpenAPI.
