CivicPlus, LLC is hiring a Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate functional requirements and create inventive software designs to advance product capabilities
  • Write clean, efficient, and sustainable code following industry-recognized practices and modern architectural patterns
  • Review, interpret, and troubleshoot code to identify and fix software defects
  • Gain thorough knowledge of team-specific system architecture, CI/CD workflows, and development methodologies
  • Take ownership of software components from development through testing and deployment
  • Engage fully in Agile team rituals and contribute to iterative development goals
  • Guide and support junior developers through coaching and knowledge sharing
  • Support consistent delivery of high-performing, reliable software aligned with technical standards
  • Keep informed on emerging technologies and advancements in software engineering practices
  • Assist in shaping and improving internal coding guidelines and best practices

Nice to Have

  • High-level expertise in .NET Core, Web API, and C#
  • Strong skills in JavaScript development
  • Proven application of SOLID design principles in software design
  • Hands-on experience creating unit tests and writing testable code
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficient in using version control systems and collaborative coding workflows
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 6 years of experience, or 8 years of direct experience
  • Track record building high-volume, scalable APIs and system integrations
  • In-depth knowledge of web application design and operational requirements
  • Practical experience applying software design patterns to real-world problems
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure
