Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers to define future architecture and systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and adherence to modern standards.
- Work across diverse codebases and systems, primarily using PHP (WordPress) and JavaScript/TypeScript, and engage with other languages and technologies as needed.
- Develop and enhance tools that improve and streamline workflows for newsroom colleagues.
- Maintain high engineering standards, ensuring applications and infrastructure follow best practices in performance, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor and support teammates, sharing expertise in your strengths while learning from others with complementary skills.
- Drive continuous improvement by contributing ideas and solutions that have a lasting impact on products and engineering culture.
