Responsibilities
- Establish engineering practices and team structure to support growth in educational technology for business and individual users.
- Connect internal platforms with common learning tools and external learning management systems.
- Manage coordination between freelance developers and a potential small external team developing a WordPress/PHP marketplace and a J2EE/Groovy assessment system.
- Take full ownership of the codebase and define software development and operational workflows from the ground up.
- Choose or develop deployment, monitoring, and operational tooling.
- Lead problem-solving efforts with creative and unconventional technical approaches.
- Improve DevOps capabilities and guide the overall technical strategy.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid — Tysons VA, Baltimore, MD

- The role has been open for some time, initially as direct hire, now open to C2C.
- 2 days work from home per week after conversion.
