Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy software solutions that improve efficiency in renewable energy and battery storage management.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate machine learning and optimization techniques into system workflows.
- Create data access layers, tools, and backend infrastructure enabling AI agents to process energy market and asset data.
- Help build clear, responsive user interfaces for real-time monitoring of energy assets by internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end software development, including system architecture, design, coding, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure systems are built for scale, reliability, and high performance in production environments.
- Identify performance issues, troubleshoot live system problems, and enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Keep informed about advancements in software engineering, clean energy, and power grid technologies to support innovation.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in software engineering with an emphasis on large-scale, real-time systems.
- High level of expertise in Python, including strong abilities in code development, testing, and debugging.
- Proven background in developing and supporting APIs, distributed systems, and data processing pipelines.
- Solid knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases, including design and deployment practices.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with remote, cross-functional teams including engineers, data scientists, and energy domain specialists.
Nice to Have
- Background in energy markets, renewable energy systems, or battery storage technologies.
- Exposure to machine learning models and optimization algorithms.
- Experience building applications powered by large language models or autonomous agents, including tool integration, retrieval-augmented generation, or agent evaluation.
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms and dashboard development.
- Front-end development experience using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Svelte.
