Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the simulation platform by integrating with the production autonomy system, its input interfaces, vehicle and agent models, and diverse environmental and operational scenarios
- Ensure ongoing compatibility and accuracy as the autonomy system evolves, focusing on minimizing discrepancies between simulated and real-world behavior
- Manage cloud-based scenario execution including workflow orchestration, concurrent processing, outcome collection, data logging, and cost efficiency analysis
- Design and refine evaluation systems that convert test runs into reliable pass/fail decisions using precise, stable criteria suitable for release gating
- Create tools for diagnosing failures, including automated grouping of similar issues, recording of failure events, and intuitive dashboards for engineering teams
- Improve scenario creation tools used by verification and validation teams, working across both backend logic and frontend interfaces
- Sustain core simulation infrastructure with emphasis on consistent behavior, reproducible results, processing efficiency, and expansion to new locations and maps
