Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and applications using Python and Django that support customer provisioning, permissions and packaging, self-service purchasing, and subscription lifecycle workflows.
- Design and implement APIs and event-driven integrations between Muck Rack, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Stripe, RightRev, and other business systems.
- Lead the evolution of Muck Rack's internal integration platform by designing scalable services that reliably translate commercial events into product actions and customer experiences.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Salesforce implementation partners to define integration patterns, API contracts, event models, and scalable technical solutions.
- Lead the technical design and delivery of medium-to-large engineering initiatives from architecture through production.
- Identify cross-system dependencies and technical risks early, partnering across teams to drive decisions and unblock delivery.
- Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code while setting a high bar through thoughtful code reviews and technical mentorship.
- Improve the reliability, observability, scalability, and performance of revenue-critical services and proactively identify opportunities to simplify and modernize the platform.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across systems and help establish patterns that improve platform resilience.
- Contribute to the long-term architecture of Muck Rack's revenue platform, ensuring solutions remain modular, maintainable, and extensible as self-service purchasing and Product-Led Growth capabilities expand.
