Ashby is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Product Engineering to join our Americas team. In this role, you’ll take full ownership of product features across the stack, combining technical depth with product leadership to solve real customer problems in Talent Acquisition software. With significant autonomy and impact, you'll work in a minimal-process, high-trust environment where engineers lead from concept to production.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership over a large portion of one of Ashby's products
- Own projects end-to-end, including responsibilities traditionally handled by product and design teams
- Research competitors and customer needs to inform product development
- Write product specifications for new features
- Create wireframes and design interfaces
- Build and ship features from concept to production
- Design and implement reusable technical abstractions and architectures
- Collaborate with stakeholders to vet decisions and keep them informed
- Work with other engineers to integrate solutions into broader product features
- Participate in customer issue investigations and debugging
- Contribute to prototyping and written proposals for new ideas
- Drive customer problems to creative and effective solutions
What We're Looking For
- Ability to tackle any part of the technology stack (frontend, backend, infrastructure)
- Experience delivering features end-to-end
- Proven ability to handle projects with high product and technical ambiguity
