Stripe is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Payments

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Payments team. In this role, you will design, build, and scale critical components of Stripe’s payments infrastructure, enabling businesses around the world to accept payments securely and efficiently. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality software that powers the global internet economy. Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure systems for processing payments. - Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and build new features. - Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical direction and best practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments. - Participate in code reviews and uphold high standards of code quality and testing. Requirements: - 5+ years of software engineering experience. - Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Ruby. - Experience with distributed systems, databases, and APIs. - Familiarity with payments, fintech, or financial systems is a plus. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
