Axon is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain robust backend systems in Java, Go, or Python for deployment automation, internal APIs, and developer platform features
  • Participate in defining system architecture, including service划分, API structure, data storage, scalability approaches, and resilience mechanisms
  • Enhance the performance, stability, and long-term maintainability of platform services through rigorous testing and deliberate design
  • Support and advance shared infrastructure services managed by the team
  • Lead the design and refinement of CI/CD pipelines serving a distributed product environment, aiming to reduce build duration and deployment complexity
  • Deploy automated and secure release methods such as blue/green, canary, and automatic rollback to improve deployment safety
  • Create reusable pipelines, templates, and tools that empower product teams to operate independently
  • Build and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK
  • Design and optimize container images and workflows; provide support for orchestration platforms including ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes
  • Ensure consistency across environments, detect configuration drift, and strengthen reliability in staging and production
  • Advance observability capabilities in metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting using tools such as Grafana and CloudWatch
  • Use system telemetry and service-level objectives to detect problems early and enhance system dependability
  • Support security improvements in areas like CI/CD pipelines, identity management, secret handling, and cloud configuration hardening
  • Champion high standards in service design, code integrity, infrastructure patterns, and automation
  • Collaborate closely with product engineering to minimize operational burden and accelerate development speed
  • Work with platform, infrastructure, and security teams to align on best practices and shared standards
