Mercury Insurance is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Test

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks, tools, and libraries; independently implement and maintain complex automated tests and moderately complex framework features.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to debug and resolve simple blocking issues, particularly with automation scripts, new frameworks, and tools; use analytical and creative approaches to address simple quality challenges.
  • Implement and enhance continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automation frameworks to support automated testing during build and deployment processes.
  • Design and implement complex performance test scripts using existing automation frameworks and tools; execute performance tests and provide analytical feedback in test result reports for releases.
  • Define and enforce automation standards and best practices, including coding standards and guidelines for writing and maintaining automated scripts and frameworks; review team members' code to ensure adherence and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide simple framework solutions to meet moderately complex testing needs in small to medium-sized teams.
  • Create, monitor, and analyze test execution results, offering complex insights and simple recommendations based on findings.
  • Train and mentor test engineers and software engineers in test on using the automation framework to write medium-complexity automated tests; guide others in diagnosing and resolving moderately complex issues and preparing proper documentation for smooth operations.
