EX Squared is hiring a Senior Software Engineer-II (Remote - US)

This role is a senior-level full-stack engineering position responsible for developing and maintaining mission-critical web applications and internal tools. You will work across the entire stack, from frontend interfaces to backend services, contributing to projects that directly impact customer experience, internal efficiency, and product safety. The role emphasizes collaboration with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, promoting technical excellence, mentorship, and innovation. You will participate in building scalable, reliable systems while leveraging modern frameworks and technologies to solve challenging technical problems. Accountabilities: · Architect, construct, and sustain full-stack web applications utilizing Python, React, TypeScript, and related frameworks. · Spearhead new feature development, including crafting technical specifications, implementing robust code, and tracking post-release metrics. · Engage with product managers and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with user and business requirements. · Enhance team growth by guiding junior engineers and disseminating best practices. · Engage in debugging, monitoring, and optimizing production systems using tools like Splunk, New Relic, and distributed queues such as Kafka. · Provide support for internal tools, customer help centers, and systems aimed at improving efficiency and user experience. · Operate within an Agile environment featuring iterative development, frequent feedback, and continuous deployment. Requirements: · 8+ years of professional experience in web application development. · Robust backend skills in Python and comfortable working across full-stack technologies. · Advanced proficiency with frontend frameworks like React and TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling. · Expertise in designing database schemas, backend models, API endpoints, and integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs. · Capability to write clear, testable, maintainable code with meaningful unit test coverage. · Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and distributed systems. · Superior collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills; adept at providing and receiving constructive feedback. · Prior experience architecting complex features and debugging production software. · Proven ability to introduce innovative ideas and continuously enhance engineering practices.
