About the Role
The role involves developing and maintaining robust full-stack systems that support real-time data transmission and integration with public safety infrastructure. The engineer will work across both frontend and backend platforms to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement frontend and backend components for scalable web applications
- Collaborate with product and design teams to define system requirements
- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality
- Support integration with third-party emergency response systems
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical planning
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements
- Work with geospatial data and real-time communication protocols
- Develop APIs for internal and external service integration
- Implement responsive user interfaces using modern frameworks
- Support deployment and on-call operations as needed
- Document technical designs and system workflows
- Evaluate new technologies for potential adoption
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility
- Participate in agile development cycles and sprint planning
- Conduct performance testing and system benchmarking
- Integrate analytics and monitoring tools
- Collaborate on incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Maintain data integrity across distributed systems
- Support scalability efforts for growing user demand
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field
