Counsel Health seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to help define the future of AI and human healthcare. In this remote role, you will have significant responsibility and ownership over the product and help shape our engineering organization. You will work cross-functionally with product, clinical, and commercial teams while interfacing with prominent healthcare organizations.
What You'll Do
- Lead initiatives with Product and Design teams to ship and iterate on unique product experiences in AI-enabled care that improve patient engagement and outcomes.
- Work closely with the ML research team to bring cutting-edge AI/LLM techniques into clinical care and implement these features into our agentic framework.
- Scale backend infrastructure with a focus on stability and data integrity.
- Improve our physician-facing care platform and integrate AI tooling to increase physician efficiency and clinical capabilities.
- Build robust integrations with large enterprise clients, including EMR integrations with healthcare providers, claims data structuring with health plans, and HIE records parsing.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of building production software experience.
- Proficiency in React, NextJs, Node.js (Typescript), React Native, Postgres, AWS, Terraform, Redis.
- Experience building at scale, serving hundreds of thousands of end-users and large enterprise clients.
- Opinionated about up-leveling your own engineering skills and the team around you.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and recent AI developments.
Nice to Have
- Ideally 2+ years at startups or growth companies.
- Self-motivated, creative doer who takes ownership of broad initiatives and drives them to completion, navigating ambiguity with ease.
- Hands-on experience building from the ground up in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with experience at early-stage companies or through personal projects.
- Thrive on working alongside exceptional teammates and derive energy from collaborative environments.
