Mercury Insurance is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality code for complex scenarios with thorough test coverage.
  • Analyze product requirements and create robust designs for distributed application systems that are modular, configurable, reusable, fast, effective, user-friendly, secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Lead design and code reviews for multiple applications to ensure best practices, adherence to company standards, and high quality.
  • Guide the sprint team in delivering new or improved features, resolving any obstacles to achieving high-quality solutions in the sprint backlog.
  • Work with other teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of intended functionality.
  • Mentor and offer technical guidance to other engineers on the team, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence within the engineering organization.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science
  • 7 or more years of experience building modern, enterprise-grade web applications with strong front-end expertise in technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, and/or React
  • 5 or more years of experience designing intuitive, user-friendly document management or content-centric interfaces for a wide range of users, including internal business teams, partners, and customers
  • 5 or more years of experience integrating front-end applications with backend services, APIs, and middleware layers in complex enterprise environments
  • Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
