Short Story is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Front-End to build the applications that power our styling service. As an early engineer, you'll establish key design patterns and directly shape how we serve our customers.
What You'll Do
- Build internal and customer-facing applications for order handling and styling.
- Establish key design patterns and guidelines for all frontend applications.
- Create new user experiences, optimize warehouse and logistics operations, and improve data insights to better serve customers.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in professional front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS).
- 4+ years of experience working with Javascript/Typescript and React.
- Understanding of web technologies, programming concepts, and web architecture.
- Previous experience working closely with designers, building flexible, composable libraries and components.
- Familiar with front-end testing automation (Cypress/Jest).
- Thorough understanding of ReactJS and its core principles.
- Experience with frontend development tools (WebPack, Babel, Yarn).
- Familiar with ReactJS workflows (redux).
- Focus on communication and documentation.
Nice to Have
- Worked in a fully remote environment with colleagues from around the world.
- Worked in sprint-based environments with an OKR framework.
- Understanding of UI/UX best practices and design principles.
