At Paxos, we're on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing software solutions that support the issuance of digital assets, including stablecoins and other tokenized financial instruments.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical issuance systems that support tokenized assets across multiple blockchains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, and infrastructure to define system architecture and technical requirements.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our issuance services through best practices in software design, testing, and deployment.
- Optimize existing issuance infrastructure to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in blockchain, distributed systems, and financial technology to drive innovation within the team.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making processes.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Golang, Kotlin, Rust, Java, C++, Python.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.
- Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure and tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and AWS services.
- Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for learning and applying new technologies to solve real-world problems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, or cryptographic principles.

Team & Environment
The Blockchain Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers Paxos’ issuance of tokenized assets. We work closely with product, operations, and compliance teams.
