Heidi is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Developer Experience

Responsibilities

  • Architect and sustain high-performance build infrastructures, including foundational libraries, CI/CD pipelines, and standardized Docker environments used company-wide.
  • Create and enhance developer tools such as IDE plugins, command-line interfaces, and container-driven workflows to accelerate local development and testing cycles.
  • Implement automation solutions that optimize the release and deployment pipeline, supporting continuous and rapid delivery practices.
  • Ensure deployment safety through structured rollout strategies like canary and blue/green releases, approval gates, and controlled environment progression.
  • Expand self-service capabilities for development teams with standardized project templates, environment setup, secret handling, and on-demand resource provisioning.
  • Work closely with product teams to integrate resilience practices, incident readiness, and service-level objective accountability into development workflows.
