Beamery is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Data) to architect and develop our data platform. You will lead the analytics layer, empower teams with self-service data, mentor engineers, and influence business decisions.

What You'll Do

Architect, design, and evolve a data platform using state-of-the-art technologies and tools.
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance ETL data pipelines and storage solutions.
Build and maintain the end-to-end analytics layer, developing robust data models and transformations.
Define and maintain core business metrics, feature usage signals, and a clean, scalable semantic layer.
Develop and manage high-quality data products that empower other teams to access reliable insights quickly.
Implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data quality and address anomalies.
Act as a technical leader, providing mentorship to data and software engineers at all levels.
Set best practices for coding, data modelling, and pipeline design.
Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate requirements into actionable plans.
Champion modern, high-velocity development practices and write clean, structured, and scalable code.
Shape the strategic direction of Beamery’s data platform and make informed recommendations aligned with business goals.

What We're Looking For

Experience with dbt for data transformations.
Experience with data storage (ideally both SQL and NoSQL).
Back-end engineering experience in one of: NodeJS, Python, Java, C#.
Experience with data pipelines and modeling (SQL).
Experience with monitoring and alerting.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent communication skills to advocate technical solutions to various audiences.
Strong Systems Design ability to create scalable and adaptable solutions for complex problems.
Autonomy in fast-paced, data-driven environments to achieve measurable business outcomes.
