Responsibilities
- Design and manage ETL/ELT workflows using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory and SQL to consolidate data from diverse sources such as financial and procurement systems.
- Develop scalable and reusable data models, primarily using star schema designs, along with semantic layers via Azure Analysis Services or Power BI datasets.
- Create and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that support both routine reporting and on-demand analytical needs while ensuring performance and usability.
- Implement data transformation rules to harmonize and align data from disparate systems, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Enforce data quality standards through validation processes and traceability mechanisms across the data lifecycle.
- Tune and improve the efficiency of SQL queries, data models, and report rendering for large-scale datasets.
- Assist in deploying business intelligence assets into production environments reliably and consistently.
- Produce and update technical documentation for data pipelines, models, and reporting tools to ensure long-term maintainability and team knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and evolve reporting platforms.
