Responsibilities
- Create and manage resilient billing services critical to revenue integrity and customer confidence.
- Develop systems that make customer usage and associated costs easy to understand.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product, Customer Success, and Support to define requirements and deliver dependable solutions.
- Enable adaptable pricing and billing features to accommodate changing cloud products.
- Implement checks, validation mechanisms, and reconciliation processes to catch and prevent billing errors.
- Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and elevate team-wide engineering standards.
- Support engineers through design and implementation phases, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Architect and develop scalable components for usage tracking, pricing logic, invoicing, and payment processing.
- Guarantee precision, consistency, and traceability in all billing data and operations.
- Build both real-time and batch data pipelines for usage measurement and cost computation.
- Design APIs and services that give customers clear visibility into their consumption and spending.
- Work with Finance and Product to enable new pricing strategies, product rollouts, and revenue-critical workflows.
- Enhance monitoring, reconciliation, and error recovery to maintain billing accuracy.
- Influence architectural choices to ensure the billing platform can scale and adapt over time.
- Mentor team members, improve hiring processes, and help cultivate an inclusive, high-performing engineering environment.

Compensation
Up to $175,000 - $220,000 + Bonus; includes Restricted Stock Units. Final offer depends on candidate's expertise, education, skills, internal equity, and market factors.
