Gore Mutual Insurance is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, AWS

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage contact flows in Amazon Connect along with associated AWS infrastructure
  • Enhance and maintain contact routing, queues, IVR configurations, and routing profiles to align with changing business needs
  • Create and support AWS Lambda functions, Amazon Lex chatbots, and API Gateway integrations to enable self-service and agent assistance tools
  • Set up and manage CloudWatch monitoring solutions including dashboards, alerts, and log collection for real-time system oversight
  • Diagnose and resolve live production issues across telephony systems using root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
  • Take part in on-call duties and respond to critical incidents to reduce service disruption and operational impact
  • Develop and sustain integrations with Guidewire platforms, CRM systems, and internal data stores using REST APIs and event-based designs
  • Construct data pipelines to deliver call insights, agent performance data, and customer interaction metrics to analytics teams
  • Work with cross-functional groups to integrate AI-powered capabilities such as call summarization, transcription, and sentiment detection
  • Document system architecture, dependencies, operational procedures, and deployment workflows
  • Engage in code and design reviews as well as agile ceremonies to ensure high engineering standards
  • Guide junior developers and operations staff on effective use of AWS and Amazon Connect
  • Assess new Amazon Connect features for potential adoption based on organizational requirements
  • Identify and deploy automation solutions to reduce manual workload for operational teams
  • Support technology planning by highlighting technical debt and suggesting system modernization paths

Compensation

$79,500 - $129,500 base salary range; actual offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, market factors, and business needs. Discretionary bonuses available based on performance.
