Modernizing Medicine, Inc. is reimagining the healthcare experience with our AI-enabled, specialty-specific cloud platform. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, APIs & Interoperability to lead the development and delivery of reliable, performant, and scalable integration services. In this role, you will be instrumental in evolving Modmed's API Ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain software systems in your area of ownership to meet business objectives.
- Ensure deliverables meet functional and non-functional criteria, and proactively drive changes where outcomes are misaligned.
- Align development efforts with business objectives by collaborating closely with senior engineers and cross-functional team members across geos.
- Identify and implement best practices for efficient operational processes or technical solutions that elevate the team's performance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by guiding other engineers through design, code, and operational reviews.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to junior engineers.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Exceptional programming skills, encompassing Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and RESTful services.
- Experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across functional lines and cross-geo teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience preferably in a technical leadership role.
- Full stack (backend, frontend, operations) experience is a plus.
- Healthcare Interoperability experience (HL7, FHIR) is advantageous.
