Responsibilities
- Design and deploy agentic AI workflows that combine tool usage, orchestration, retrieval, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms to deliver production-grade AI solutions.
- Take full ownership of AI systems from initial architecture through deployment and ongoing operational support.
- Establish and enforce high standards in AI engineering by creating evaluation frameworks such as golden datasets, offline and online testing, experimentation pipelines, and disciplined prompt and version control.
- Promote and integrate AI evaluation practices across engineering teams.
- Apply first-principles thinking to dissect complex AI challenges, define effective solutions, and build scalable, maintainable systems that ensure secure and reliable user experiences.
- Design processes with AI as the primary driver, leveraging large language models, tooling, retrieval methods, and human feedback loops to enhance product performance and team efficiency.
- Make decisions guided by data, including setting performance metrics, balancing quality and latency, and using insights to refine AI systems iteratively.
- Remain adaptable to rapid changes in model performance, AI tools, and shifting business priorities.
- Adjust project scope efficiently and maintain alignment with cross-functional stakeholders during periods of change.
- Lead complex initiatives that integrate AI capabilities into core product features across backend, frontend, and platform components.
- Develop and maintain robust, high-performing, and durable platform features that support both AI innovation and system reliability.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to define priorities, clarify requirements, and deliver solutions that generate measurable customer value.
- Detect and resolve technical debt and inefficiencies in both AI and non-AI code, enhancing code quality, scalability, and developer experience.
- Guide and develop engineers in applied AI patterns, evaluation rigor, and preparing LLM-based systems for production.
- Foster a culture centered on learning, experimentation, and continuous technical improvement.
