We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Mews. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that power our hospitality technology platform. The ideal candidate has a strong background in software development, a passion for solving complex problems, and experience working in agile, remote-first environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver new features
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience working in remote-first, agile teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the hospitality or travel tech industry
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues
