Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software systems that are reliable, scalable, and easy to sustain over time.
- Take full ownership of features and services from initial design through to deployment and operation.
- Enhance the performance, stability, and usability of systems for both users and developers.
- Elevate code quality by applying disciplined engineering practices and continuous improvement.
- Lead technically complex projects from unclear starting points to successful implementation.
- Make architectural choices that balance immediate needs with long-term system health.
- Lead and influence technical conversations while shaping best practices across engineering teams.
- Support the growth of other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical mentorship.
- Work closely with product, design, customer support, and engineering peers to address customer needs.
- Participate in planning discussions for both engineering and product direction.
- Adapt and collaborate across teams as business priorities shift.
- Be accountable for the behavior of production systems and the impact on customers.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve infrastructure, tools, and development workflows.
- Take initiative beyond assigned tasks to resolve ambiguity and drive clarity in complex situations.
