Bloomreach is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Data Pipeline team, focusing on building and maintaining high-throughput, reliable data pipelines that process massive volumes of customer behavior data in real time. You will work remotely from Central & Eastern Europe, contributing to systems that power AI-driven personalization for over 1,400 global brands.
What You'll Do
- Develop a data pipeline processing a large amount of data reliably and at a high rate using Python, Go, MongoDB, GCP, and more.
- Process real-time tracking data from clients' visitors for marketing automation, handling tens of thousands of requests per second.
- Improve the efficiency of workers, monitoring, and autoscaling of infrastructure.
- Improve the throughput and reliability of data imports involving millions of rows.
- Implement integration with additional data storage systems.
- Export data from the platform to Google’s BigQuery using Google DataFlows, PySpark, and Apache Beam.
- Run and support services in production handling high-volume traffic using Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
- Review peers' code and participate in code reviews with adherence to high code quality standards and the four-eyes principle.
- Start on easier, self-contained projects and progress to complex, impactful projects.
- Participate in on-call rotation to keep services up and running.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with Python
- Solid grasp of engineering practices
- Experience with ETL pipelines, including ingest at scale from various connectors to SQL and non-SQL sources
- Data cleanup, sanitization, and transformations
- Loading cleaned-up data into optimized storages for specific use cases
- Ability to behave effectively in a remote-first environment
- Ability to learn and adapt when exploring new technologies, navigating large codebases, and iterating on team processes
