ID.me is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer - Shopping Graph

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain core API endpoints for merchants, resources, discounts, and use cases within the commerce platform.
  • Create robust, thoroughly tested backend services used by both internal teams and external developers.
  • Support an API-first and platform-first architecture to ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
  • Collaborate with the Developer Experience team to design straightforward onboarding processes for external developers and merchants.
  • Produce clear, comprehensive API documentation and tools that simplify third-party integrations.
  • Coordinate with teams including Authentication, Organization Platform, Marketplace Apps, and Identity Graph to maintain system-wide consistency.
  • Promote and implement best practices in distributed systems, observability, reliability, and modern DevOps workflows.
  • Engage in code reviews and help shape team-wide engineering standards and quality benchmarks.
