Responsibilities
- Leading testing effort in the payments, card issuing and revolving credit domain.
- Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases in JUnit 5.
- Preparing quality assurance policies and procedures
- Designing, developing, and executing automation code.
- Identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs.
- Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products.
- Tracking quality assurance metrics and statistics.
- Staying up to date with new testing tools, diverse types of test strategies, and assuring ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
- Communicating technical information, both written and verbal, effectively to other team members and customers of varying technical experience.
- Working collaboratively with other team members, teams and customers on projects, and other similar or related tasks.

Requirements
- Proficiency in the Java programming language and JUnit test framework.
- Proven domain knowledge and experience in testing within the payments and card industry. Proficiency in various testing methodologies, tools, and techniques specific to this domain.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry-specific protocols.
- Ability and willingness to delve into unfamiliar domains, rapidly acquiring necessary expertise for effective testing.
- Previous experience in backend Java enterprise software system testing.
- Previous experience in automating API (REST) testing.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins or other CI/CD platforms.
- Proven record with large complex projects and SDLC processes.
- Experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL Databases such as MySQL and Cassandra. Ability to write, execute, and debug SQL queries to perform database testing and validation.
- Great problem solving and decision-making skills; strong attention for detail to ensure comprehensive test planning.
- Ability to read, write, listen, and speak English with at least business fluency.
