Lightspeed is hiring a Senior Software Developer for a permanent work-from-home role focused on crafting robust systems and beautiful interfaces. You will write clear, performant, testable, and elegant code while collaborating on technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture reviews across frontend, backend, and infrastructure in a fast-paced agile environment.
What You'll Do
- Work across multiple areas of the Hospitality platform, including POS, payments, and loyalty.
- Handle feature development, bug fixing, performance improvements, code reviews, peer programming, and incident response.
- Collaborate with the Product team on spec review, architecture, systems design, and implementation.
- Contribute to innovation and tech talks, and help other developers to 'level up'.
- Work on common services, introduce new tooling or libraries, and document and evolve best practices.
- Contribute to the wider team to achieve organizational objectives, even beyond strict role scope.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
- Collaborative, test-driven, and agile full-stack development knowledge.
- Deep experience using PHP, Typescript, and React.
- Solid database knowledge (MySQL or Postgres), with ability to write efficient queries and optimise performance.
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services.
- Experience with AWS, including services such as SQS, Lambda, and Redis.
