Vantage is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer at Vantage, you will be instrumental in maintaining the stability, scalability, and performance of our mission-critical distributed services. You'll combine software and systems engineering to build and automate infrastructure and processes.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with software engineers on iterative processes and task planning to drive projects forward.
• Own the availability, scalability, and performance of our services, proactively identifying issues and implementing automation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to incidents and restoring service.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using IaC principles with tools like Terragrunt and Ansible.
• Design and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to improve observability.
• Participate in blameless post-mortems, documenting issues and following up on action items.
• Foster collaboration with other engineering teams to promote framework reuse and operational insights.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SRE, DevOps, and automation.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
• Proficiency with either Python or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tooling like Terraform and Ansible.
• Demonstrated ability to triage and prioritize effectively when troubleshooting incidents.
• History of engaging effectively with cross-functional teams during incident response and post-mortems.
• A track record of proactively tailoring infrastructure to meet the unique needs of the product.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Azure.
• Experience with application deployment, data pipelines, Snowflake, and/or relational databases.
