Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and performance of all marketing and sales activities in assigned market
- Maintaining and developing a computerized customer and prospect database
- Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area
- Plan, organise and control of department activities such as costing, quotation, tender etc
- Resources and Manpower planning to maximise utilization to meet the sales target
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
- Setting targets to himself/herself as well as sales executives
- Supervising, motivating and monitoring sales team performance
- Providing timely feedback to senior management regarding performance
- Plan and organise for market research, competitor and customer surveys
- Promote or introduce company’s products and testing services to new customer
- Survey and understand the market competitor’s activities and laboratory testing trends
- Plan and implement effective marketing strategy to achieve measurable sales target
- Maintain customer databases; keep records of customer interaction and transactions, and the details of inquiries, comment and complaints
- Analyse, evaluate and review customer’s feedback on services
- Handle and resolve customer complaints to ensure proper resolution
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to meet customer timeframes and enquiries
- Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience
- Perform other job related duties as may be assigned by the top management
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry discipline or equivalents
- Minimum 5 years and above experiences in related industries
- Applicants must be Malaysian citizens
- Understand company operation and knowledge of products, services and laboratory facilities & capabilities
- Good business and selling skills for laboratory testing and analysis consultancy
- Background knowledge of sampling equipment and devices used in project department and laboratory
- Familiar with relevant local government laws and regulations and MS ISO/IEC 17025 clauses 4.4, 4.7 & 4.8
- Self-driven, results oriented, responsible and has good communication and supervisory skills
- Dynamic, self-motivated and organized with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Must be a team-player who is resourceful and able to work under stress
