Palantir Technologies is hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Manage the revenue recognition process from contract closeout through financial statement disclosure.
  • Lead the month-end close for revenue and cost of revenue by creating and validating accruals, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring policy compliance, and developing standard reports.
  • Apply judgment to document accounting conclusions in technical memos, adhering to policies and current software revenue recognition rules.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure efficient and effective audit completion.
  • Identify, advocate for, and implement continuous improvement initiatives for revenue processes, including systems, reporting, and analysis.
  • Partner with Finance and Sales leadership on revenue forecasting processes.

Requirements

  • Experience applying ASC 606, specifically to enterprise software-as-a-service.
  • 3+ years of experience in a large public accounting firm and/or a small to mid-size enterprise software company.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to summarize key accounting and operational issues to management.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite and/or other revenue recognition accounting systems.
  • CPA or ACCA/ACA certification (preferred but not required).
