Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive plans for maintenance and construction activities, including work packages and execution methodologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and project management personnel to align project goals.
- Perform site inspections to confirm project scope and evaluate construction feasibility.
- Lead planning efforts for plant shutdowns, equipment retrofits, and intricate installations.
- Produce cost estimates, detailed quantity take-offs, and Bills of Quantities.
- Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and negotiation of contract terms.
- Monitor project budgets, assess cost deviations, and project future spending.
- Administer change orders, claims processing, and associated commercial records.
- Promote value engineering initiatives to enhance cost efficiency and schedule performance.
- Act as a primary technical and commercial liaison during initial project phases.
- Attend client meetings and design review sessions to support project development.
- Report on planning status, cost implications, and project readiness for execution.
- Foster strong client relationships through timely communication and technical expertise.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, project management, fabrication, and field teams.
- Participate in internal project reviews, risk analysis, and cross-functional coordination meetings.
- Guide and develop junior planning and cost estimation staff.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and recognized industry standards.
- Maintain precise records related to cost, planning, and contractual agreements.
- Support internal and external audits, quality assurance processes, and improvement initiatives.
