Responsibilities
- Act as a technical lead within QA and test teams
- Oversee all aspects of software and product testing as well as overall development quality across the company
- Develop test strategies and prepare test documentation
- Identify defects and review QA reports
- Lead the evaluation of test automation tools and technologies
- Choose appropriate test automation tools for each project
- Drive the transition from manual to automated testing to minimize manual effort
- Lead the team and build test automation frameworks
- Support QA teams with expert QA knowledge
- Define and update company quality standards to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Implement test frameworks and test architecture
- Set up continuous integration within CI/CD pipelines
- Lead the entire QA process across one or multiple projects—from pre-testing analysis, through software testing and test automation, to post-testing evaluation
- Ensure all released products meet both company and industry quality standards
- Stay up to date with modern processes, established tools, techniques, and technologies
- Ensure a consistently high degree of product quality
Requirements
- Strong focus on BSS regression testing for complex enterprise releases
- Ability to design and implement automated test cases for highly complex business requirements (Business Epics / Initiatives level)
- Expert-level experience with UFT (current platform)
- Expert-level Java automation skills
- Proficiency with modern tools such as Selenium, Selenide, or Playwright
- Deep knowledge of Enterprise Network business processes
- Detailed understanding of B2B connectivity products
- Understanding of legally compliant contract and settlement processes
- Understanding of Enterprise Network technologies (e.g., BNG, Access 4.0, Remote Devices)
- Knowledge of common IT/NT testing procedures
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience performing defect analysis, bug reporting, and root cause analysis
- Ability to produce high-quality test documentation
- Experience collaborating across multiple test levels and business units (BUT, WBV)
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Proficiency with Jira (Atlassian)
- Proficiency with Git
- Proficiency with SQL
- Proficiency with XML
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- English: very good (mandatory)
Nice to Have
- Readiness for migration toward Calypso (future target platform)
- Experience in SAFe® and Kanban teams
- Demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration in large enterprises
- Ability to build internal networks within Deutsche Telekom
- Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT)
- Experience with AI-supported migrations (e.g., UFT → Playwright)
- German: good knowledge is a plus
