CI&T is looking for a Senior QA Automation professional to ensure the quality and integrity of automated and manual test cases. In this role, you will define and validate test scenarios, manage risks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in project outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Act as a quality reference across multiple teams, ensuring consistent application of quality practices in complex initiatives.
- Lead quality planning for large or cross-team initiatives, embedding quality from early design stages.
- Design and evolve test approaches for complex, integrated, and high-risk systems.
- Drive expansion and maintenance of automated test coverage for critical flows and shared services.
- Identify systemic quality risks and lead mitigation actions across teams and products.
- Influence technical and product decisions by representing quality, testability, and reliability perspectives.
- Define and monitor quality metrics for complex systems, ensuring visibility of risks and improvement areas.
- Coordinate quality practices across squads working on shared systems or dependencies.
- Lead improvement initiatives in testing practices, tools, and processes for complex environments.
- Act as a technical authority on advanced QA topics, supporting complex problem-solving and design discussions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies by sharing quality considerations based on executed tests and current scope.
- Apply test techniques (exploratory, regression, integration, non-functional) with minimal guidance, adjusting depth based on risk.
- Use automation pragmatically, prioritizing stable and high-value scenarios and maintaining existing tests proactively.
- Analyze defects beyond symptoms, identifying root causes and communicating impact clearly to Product and Engineering.
- Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, raising quality concerns and proposing concrete improvements.
- Prioritize testing work based on agreed goals, deadlines, and risk, adjusting focus when priorities change.
- Seek feedback on testing approaches and incorporate learnings into daily work.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to clarify acceptance criteria and edge cases.
- Maintain high standards for quality while working within constraints, escalating risks when needed.
- Demonstrate ownership for quality outcomes within their scope and follow through on commitments.
